The fantastic programme of music at Wels Cathedral kicks off this weekend with the annual “Sixteen” Concert which will take place on Friday 7th at 19:30

“Sixteen” are a UK based choir and period instrument orchestra; founded by Harry Christophers, which started as an unnamed group of sixteen friends and they have gained hugely in popularity since this time.

They perform early English polyphony, works of the Renaissance, Baroque and early Classical music, and a diversity of 20th-century music and this year their performance will focus on The Choral Pilgrimage 2018 – works by Cornysh and Britten.
